Summary of report content

Healthwatch Norfolk gather information on people’s experiences of health and social care services and there are times when it is appropriate for Healthwatch Norfolk to see and hear for themselves how services are being delivered: these visits are called ‘Enter and View’, they are not inspections.

Healthwatch Norfolk visited Burgh House on 19 July 2018.

The key findings highlighted areas in relation to patient feedback, staff feedback and observation.

The ideas to take forward were to to refurbish the lounge to make better use of the space and make it more homely for the residents. Continue with plans to update the dining room and the furniture. Investigate dementia training for staff. Display a weekly planner of activities/outings for residents and relatives. Display menu choices for the week on the notice board.
