Healthwatch North East Lincolnshire is the independent health and social care champion. Local Healthwatch is in place to gather the views and experiences of people accessing services, to use this information to influence decisions and to provide information and advice to the local community about health and social care services.
These Enter and View visits are ‘announced’ visits where they notify the provider of their intention to visit. Healthwatch North East Lincolnshire visited Bradley House Care Home on 23/08/2017.
The summary of findings highlight: Residents were treated with dignity & respect; the home was fresh, clean and welcoming; they did not notice any Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) in the bathrooms; a room that was used for when district nurses came in to visit patients
was left unlocked and unattended. Potential hazard if sharps are left in there; concerns around the dignity of one resident who was having a dressing changed on his leg in his room with the door open and he did not appear to have any clothes on his lower body; residents appeared clean, well dressed and happy
