Healthwatch Bracknell Forest undertook an Enter and View visit to Bracknell Care Home on 4 March 2024. They wanted to understand what was working well with the service and what could be improved.  They spoke to seven relatives, six relatives or friends and eight members of a staff.

The report looks at:

  • The quality of care 
  • Activities and daily life
  • Food and drink
  • Hydration and nutritional needs
  • Dignity and respect
  • Staff, including training and support
  • Connections with other services

The report contains nine recommendations about decor, equipment, the garden, staff interaction with residents, communication, local volunteering, information for staff about residents, food and water pressure.
