Summary of report content

This is an Enter and View report by Healthwatch North Yorkshire. Healthwatch representatives visited  Beechwood Place Nursing Home to observe the environment and speak to those being cared for.

A total of 27 people were spoken to during the visit. This included 8 residents, 8 residents’ friends or family members, and 11 members of staff.

In general feedback was positive about the home. 

There were several areas for improvement which included a need for clearer signs on toilets and resident's rooms, better arrangement of communal space, assistance with hearing aids, enclosing the outdoor space, updating the website with the latest information, promoting and designing more engaging activities.
