This is a summary of the follow-up visit to Beech Court Nursing Home.
Healthwatch Havering visited the home on 17 August 2017 as a follow-up to their previous visit on 17 January 2017.
No recommendations were made by the team on their previous visit, as they felt that
the home appeared to be well-run. Since the previous visit, the home, along with a number of others, had been taken over by Bond Care. This had only been finalised recently so no changes were being made within the home at present, although the team was given to understand that all of the homes taken over were being surveyed with a view to improvements being made.
The home continued to appear to be well-run and the team were pleased to note that changes were being made to the decor in line with recommendations for colour contrasts in environments where people living with dementia are cared for.
The manager, who had been in post at the home for a number of years, appeared to be happy with the transfer to Bond Care and told the team that she had no serious concerns.
