Summary of report content

Healthwatch Kingston undertook an announced enter and view visit to Ashton Meadows Nursing Home as part of HWK’s series of announced Enter and View visits to local care and nursing homes which took place between April 2024 – April 2025.

Overall, HWK Authorised Representatives concluded that Ashton Meadows seemed to be a well-run home with caring staff. We identified a high ratio of staff to residents, and a high number of activity workers. Staff demonstrated a good knowledge of the residents’ needs and a friendly, engaged and caring attitude towards them.  Healthwatch observed the residents in the lounges occupied and engaged throughout their visits, and observed the staff working well as a team.
