Summary of report content

On 20th March 2019, Healthwatch Sefton undertook an announced Enter and View visit to Ashcroft House Nursing Home to find out about the home based on personal testimony and seek out and share best practice. The provides accommodation and nursing care for up to 31 older people but had 22 at the time of visit. Some of the residents had dementia.

The report gave excellent-good reviews to the home including its exterior, reception, corridors, lifts and stairways, dining area, communal siting area, kitchen facilities and food preparation area as well as to the bathroom and toilet facilities. The staff were respectful and kind to the residents and the residents, their family and friends were happy with the service and care.

The report made eight recommendations and contains a response to each from the providers.
