Summary of report content

Healthwatch Derby conducted an Enter and View visit to Amber Lodge Nursing Home on the 18th February 2019. 

They found Amber Lodge had pleasant indoor and outdoor areas for residents, and that the security of the residents was a clear priority. Communication was very important in the home, with a range of information readily available. Residents were seen to be treated with respect and dignity. The environment was clean and airy.

Healthwatch made several recommendations, including: to have a staffing board with names and photographs, staff to wear name badges for easier identification, to complete the menu board daily, and to implement signage at the rear of the home.
