Healthwatch Buckinghamshire conducted an Enter and View at Alde House, a residential care home in Penn, Buckinghamshire, which provides care for up to 17 people who either have dementia or memory problems.
The visit was conducted on 24th May 2017. The visit was unannounced on the day but the care home did receive 2 weeks’ notice that the visit was taking place and 7 people shared their views.
Observation by the enter and view representatives reported that:
The care home was a small friendly home with staff who have built up a good relationship with residents.
The comments about the home were positive with the different areas about the house mainly receiving either a 4 or 5 star rating. Following on from this, the enter and view team made recommendations with the service manager responding to provide feedback to give an update on how the home has addressed the recommendations.
