Healthwatch Buckinghamshire conducted an Enter and View at Abbeyfield Haddenham, a residential care home in Buckinghamshire, which provides care for up to 11 residents.
The visit was conducted on 19th July 2017. The visit was unannounced on the day but the care home did receive 2 weeks notice that the visit was taking place and there were 7 people who shared their views.
Observation by the enter and view representatives reported that:
Residents are encouraged to remain as independent as they can be
A relaxed atmosphere with most residents spending a lot of time in their rooms reading
There were mixed comments about the home and after the visit, the enter and view team made recommendations with the service manager responding to provide feedback to give an update on how the home has addressed the recommendations.
