Summary of report content

Healthwatch Northumberland were asked to engage with people from seldom heard groups regarding the integration of a joint hospital and leisure Centre. Feedback was gathered from 90 individuals attending local voluntary groups and engagement at information stands, using a short feedback form.

The report found that 40/90 individuals responded positively about the proposed integrated development. The public's opinion about a joint hospital and leisure centre was mixed but those who regarded it as positive highlighted the links with health and social care being a benefit. Although, 52% of seldom heard participants in this investigation suggested a preference for the existing location rather than moving the site elsewhere.
