Healthwatch Doncaster worked with Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospital to develop a survey to capture the views of people who have been using the Drive through service for Phlebotomy and pre op testing during the pandemic. They ran a survey from 25 August to 22 September 2021 to which 966 people responded.
The main reasons why people went to the drive through service were convenience and not wanting to visit either the hospital or their local surgery for this service. The main benefits of accessing the service included that it was easy, safe, quick and convenient. Nearly all rated the service as excellent, very good or good.
People appreciated the approach and professionalism of staff and safety. They would have liked a later finishing time or a weekend service for people who work. Over nine in ten would use the service again.
