Healthwatch Bolton report on the continuing impact of their project with Bolton GP Federation to address low rates of cervical smear testing locally.

In 2022/23, they reached out further to identify further seldom heard groups and venues for outreach screening sessions.  They developed partnerships with a number of primary schools and other locations.  75 additional screening sessions were run.

Bolton GP Federation are planning to continue with this service and  have set up a wellbeing hive in the town centre for people to walk in to have blood pressure checks, vaccinations and other health advice.
