Summary of report content

Healthwatch Birmingham and Solihull undertook an analysis of their feedback about digital access to GP appointments.  This report sets out the impact they achieved.

The original research reported that at least 50 GP practices in Birmingham and Solihull do not offer any alternative to online booking. This made it much harder for people without internet access to get care from their GP.

Healthwatch fed back the issues to the GP Provider Support Unit.  As a result, this organisation is intending to work in collaboration with GP practices to see which ones aren't meeting the requirements and provide support.
