Summary of report content

Healthwatch Norfolk visited Cringleford Surgery in July 2026 and gathered feedback from 11 patients, resulting in an average rating of 3.8 out of 5. Overall, feedback was mixed. Many patients described staff, particularly receptionists and nurses, as friendly, helpful and professional, and several praised the quality of care they had received, including prompt referrals and effective clinical support.

The strongest positive theme was staff attitude and patient care. Patients highlighted supportive reception staff, positive experiences with nurses and examples of clinicians acting quickly when serious health concerns were identified. Some respondents found registration and prescription processes straightforward and felt they were seen within a reasonable timeframe.

The main concerns related to access and digital systems. Patients reported difficulties using online appointment and prescription platforms, concerns about privacy at reception, long waits for some GP appointments and frustration with delays for routine care. Several respondents described waiting weeks or even months for appointments, while others felt communication around appointments and test results could be improved.

Healthwatch concluded that patients generally valued the care provided by staff but experienced mixed outcomes when accessing appointments and digital services. The practice acknowledged concerns about appointment availability, telephone access and online systems, noting that rapid population growth had increased pressure on services. The practice highlighted ongoing work to improve telephone systems, support patients who struggle with digital access and expand clinical capacity.
