Summary of report content

Healthwatch Redbridge undertook a survey about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on local residents.  This report covers results from 41 completed surveys.

More than half found it “easy” or “very easy” to find and understand the information they need during Covid-19, but under half found it “easy” or “very easy” to keep up to date with changes to the information they need and to act on the information they need.  Just under 2 in five found it very difficult to get clear information about changes to the health services they usually access. 

Just over 2 in 5 had received communication from the NHS regarding changes to medical appointments they were due to have. Respondents shared their mixed experiences, particularly in relation to telephone and online appointments.  Just over half of respondents said that their healthcare provider has put new systems in place due to Covid-19, including online prescription ordering.  Over 1 in 10 of respondents said that Covid-19 has had a significant or very significant impact on their mental health/
