Healthwatch North Yorkshire analysed their feedback on the Covid-19 vaccination campaign. Since the beginning of January they had received 35 pieces of feedback.
Most people were positive about receiving the vaccine. However many were concerned about when and where they would get the vaccine. Communication to people living in Harrogate was particularly poor, with few GP websites giving any information.
The other main issue was that people were struggling to reach their vaccination centre, a real issue in North Yorkshire, which is a very rural area with limited public transport.
There were four recommendations about improved communications; access to a central phone number or website for people to ask questions about the vaccine, better publicity about vaccine access in Harrogate and provision of transport for people to get to vaccine centres.
