Healthwatch Surrey undertook a survey to find out whether and how financial constraints and concerns impact physical and/or emotional health, the impact of long term conditions on finances and awareness of sources of support.  39 people responded.

They found:

  • Financial constraints do have an impact on people's physical and mental health
  • Having a long term condition has a negative impact on people's financial situation
  • Half were not aware where they could get help and support.
