Summary of report content

Young Healthwatch East Sussex undertook mystery shopping research on the East Sussex CAMHS help and support website in December 2021. They felt that the design and layout of the website could be improved to make the crisis help more visible, change the formatting of the text to make it more appealing and appropriate to the audience and to ensure it was accessible on mobile devices as well as laptops. Overall they felt that the website was easy to navigate and the sections clearly labelled. They felt that the language used on the website could be improved to make it more accessible to the audience and less patronising. They felt that much of the information provided on the website wouldn’t be useful for children and young people experiencing mental health problems, as it contained little information about how to seek support. The report contains 4 recommendations.
