Download (PDF 412.87 KB)Summary of report content
This report was written by Healthwatch Bolton as part of a wider engagement project on neighbourhood assets. A discussion group was held to ask Breightmet and Little Lever people what they thought about their local assets.
The report was published December, 2017. It is based on discussions with local people. A total of 47 people were engaged with.
Overall sentiment was mixed. A number of assets were identified as existing locally, this is a platform on which healthier lives can be led. There was much discussion on how improvements in information, connectivity and listening to residents might improve things locally.
While recommendations are not made a set of conclusions is given. No response from providers is attached, though this project does not engage with a single provider of services.
Summary of conclusions:
- Need to develop local assets around isolation, the young, transport
- Want locally based groups and services that will support them
- Better connections between local groups and services
- Support for the new primary care roles
- Information given to be clear and accurate
