Summary of report content

Healthwatch Devon produced an experiential data report for the Public Health Team at Devon County Council. The report summarises findings from the Mid Devon Citizen Panel, engagements with young people at public events hosted by Petroc College, surveys, and feedback from Speak Out. The team received 48 responses through the Mid Devon Citizen Panel, engaged with 187 young people at public events, surveyed over 500 people, and received a range of feedback through Speak Out. The main focus of the report is how services support people to have control of their own health and wellbeing.

The Mid Devon Citizen Panel focused on support in relation to healthy eating, weight management and physical exercise. The engagements with young people focused on which health issues were most important to them, as well as how they are supported to be active. The surveys were focused on individuals with long term conditions and how they found the care and support they received. Most respondents considered their care to be good or excellent. The feedback shared through Speak Out pertains to a range of topics, including smoking and diabetes. The overall responses were mixed.

The report did not make any recommendations.
