Summary of report content

Healthwatch Brent report on the outcomes of three visits to Northwick Park’s antenatal waiting area to meet with pregnant women and hear about their experiences.  They spoke to 37 women.

Women were overwhelmingly positive about their experiences. They cited good communication as a factor in their care, allowing them to make choices about the care they received.  They also highlighted the quality of support they received from staff as a positive.

The main areas for improvement were the long waiting times at the start of the appointments and poor admin such as letters not being on the system or appointments being arranged.
