Summary of report content

Healthwatch Bucks report on their key achievements for 2025/26. It:

  • Influenced improvements to local services through research on men’s health, healthcare travel costs, community hospitals, Hospital at Home services and social care information
  • Improved information about the NHS Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme, with NHS and council partners improving information, communications and promotion of available financial support. 
  • Used Enter & View visits at community hospitals to drive practical improvements, including better accessibility signage, environmental changes and patient experience enhancements. 
  • Amplified the voices of seldom-heard communities through a Community Researcher programme, working with refugee and asylum seeker communities, people experiencing homelessness, older Muslim women, and Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities. 
  • Influenced local and national policy, including contributing Buckinghamshire residents’ experiences to the Government’s Men’s Health Strategy consultation and helping shape future dementia and discharge planning services.
