Healthwatch Knowsley report on its key achievements for 2025/26. It:
- Influenced improvements to primary care, dentistry and children's phlebotomy services, using feedback from thousands of residents to highlight access barriers and secure additional local capacity for children's blood testing services.
- Led and contributed to major work to raise concerns on corridor care in emergency departments, carrying out Enter and View visits, gathering patient experiences, and making recommendations adopted within wider NHS improvement planning across Cheshire and Merseyside.
- Shaped local health and care commissioning through projects on extra care housing, domiciliary care, GP access and digital healthcare, ensuring residents' experiences informed service design and procurement decisions.
- Supported seldom-heard communities, including asylum seekers, refugees, older people, people with learning disabilities, autistic people, carers and people affected by digital exclusion, helping them access services and influence local decision-making.
- Worked collaboratively across Cheshire and Merseyside, influencing Integrated Care System priorities on GP access, NHS App use, corridor care, end-of-life care and wider service improvement through shared research and community insight.
