Healthwatch Lancashire report on its key achievements for 2024/25:

  • They engaged with 9,760 residents and was supported by 30 volunteers who contributed 947 hours. 
  • Key areas of work included women's health, Deaf/BSL users' experiences, young people's mental health, carers' support, and disability issues. 
  • The BSL project found significant communication barriers, with only 23% of services contacted knowing how to book an interpreter. 
  • Work on young people's mental health led to service improvements including more consistent assessments and regular check-ins. 
  • The organisation supported 581 people through information, advice and signposting services. 
  • Priorities for 2025-26 include disability and transport accessibility, men's health, ageing without children, and the impact of social media on young people.
