Healthwatch Lancashire report on their key achievements for 2021/22. They:
- Engaged with 14,568 people, reached 605 people from seldom-heard groups, and made 93 recommendations to improve health and social care services across Lancashire.
- Relaunched its Enter and View programme, producing seven reports and securing improvements in care homes, including better family contact, improved cleanliness and greater choice at mealtimes.
- Influenced major NHS service developments through Healthwatch Together, engaging 889 people on the New Hospitals Programme and 565 people on urgent and emergency care services.
- Responded to local healthcare access challenges, particularly around dentistry, providing advice and support to more than 200 people struggling to access treatment.
- Developed innovative projects to strengthen social care, including the Dare to Care volunteer programme, helping people gain skills, qualifications and experience for careers in care.
