Summary of report content

This is Healthwatch Wiltshire’s annual report for 2019-20 which highlights their priorities for the year including making it easier to see a GP or a healthcare professional, making it easier for people to access the support they need, making it easier to access mental health support and supporting the health and wellbeing projects in the community. They also looked at providing support for further development of dementia friendly initiatives and groups and pushing for more development of services that support people with autism.

Healthwatch Wiltshire employed four staff members and had the support of 40 volunteers; they provided support to nearly 4000 people who shared their health and social care story with them; they reached out two nearly 300,000 people via social media and community engagement events; they published eight reports about improvements people would like to see with their health and social care. They also contributed to the NHS Long Term Plan.

The report contains a message from their manager which highlights there plan For the next year when they will focus on monitoring the impact of coronavirus, look into mental health, learning disabilities and autism and primary care.
