Summary of report content

The 2018/19 Annual Report for Healthwatch Harrow highlights their achievements during the year. 2,300 people shared their health and social care story with Healthwatch Harrow; they undertook 130 substantial activities such as meetings attended and events held; they collected, processed and analysed 6000 items of service user feedback; communicated with 500 stakeholders including individual residents, community groups and local organisations; conducted 15 Healthwatch Harrow ‘Patient Experience Panel’ meetings to keep an eye on health and social care related trends; and carried out 110 volunteer sessions from developing strategy to attending meetings.

They explored the experiences of local residents about diabetes services, mental health and wellbeing, the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, dementia services for the elderly, and the Northwick Park Hospital. The report also highlights their findings about what services do people want to know about; how best they can provide people with advice and information; how they shape their local services; how did their volunteers help with their work; how they used their allocated budget; and their plans for the next year.
