Annual report 2018-19

Healthwatch Northamptonshire reported on their activities during 2018-19. These included: events attended and groups engaged with to gather local people’s views and experiences; a programme of Enter and View visits to residential and nursing care homes for older people; visits to wards and departments at Kettering General Hospital; visits to maternity services at Northampton General Hospital and Kettering General Hospital; working in partnership with local health and care organisations; sharing feedback; responding to consultations run by Northamptonshire County Council; carrying out a survey to find out about the health and social care needs of the Armed Forces community locally; exploring families’ experiences of the autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder pathway in Northamptonshire.

Healthwatch Northamptonshire also reported on: the services people asked about during the year; how they provide people with advice and information; the work of Young Healthwatch Northamptonshire; the work of Healthwatch Northamptonshire’s team of volunteers; the awards and recognition received by Healthwatch Northamptonshire; finances; and plans for the next year. The report also features messages from Healthwatch Northamptonshire’s Chair, CEO, and the Healthwatch England Chair.
