Healthwatch Lancashire report on their key achievements in 2015/16. They:
- Engaged with more than 6,000 people, published 50 reports, and carried out 28 hospital Patient Engagement Days to gather patient experiences and influence service improvement.
- Delivered a major Enter and View programme, completing 29 care home visits that informed service improvements and strengthened collaboration with the Care Quality Commission.
- Influenced changes to healthcare services through research on dentist access, GP access, transport to healthcare appointments, and experiences of seldom-heard groups.
- Expanded engagement with underrepresented communities, including young people, Black and minority ethnic communities, LGBT+ residents, carers, people with disabilities, and other seldom-heard groups.
- Supported improvements in hospital services, with patient feedback informing developments at hospitals including Burnley General Hospital and leading to changes in patient experience, facilities and service planning.
