Summary of report content

This report focuses on experiences in Bolton NHS Foundation Trust ambulatory care unit. The research was carried out by Healthwatch Bolton.

For this study 32 people were spoken to. Some people were accompanied by carers and these views are included in the report where relevant.

The comments about the ambulatory care unit were mixed. People liked that when attending the ambulatory care unit they could be seen quickly and get test results on the day.

However there was confusion about the term 'ambulatory', and engagement officers observed improvements could be made to the unit waiting space.

Recommendations were made in the report. No provider response is attached.
