Summary of report content

On 2nd & 4th November 2021 Healthwatch Liverpool held their Listening Event at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, the first since the Covid-19 pandemic began. During the planning of the event, Healthwatch Liverpool attended a meeting of the Alder Hey Youth Forum, who helped to devise the questions. These were added to those that Alder Hey Trust wanted to include, along with standard Healthwatch Questions. Healthwatch Liverpool spoke to 73 people in person and received two online responses. Patients, carers, staff, and visitors were generally happy with their experience, though some mentioned the need for more toys and activities for smaller children and better facilities on the ward.
