Activity Outcomes Report, Surrey

An interesting report that takes on a newsletter style format. The report shows everything that Healthwatch Surrey has been doing during this period but without any in depth detail. It also covers its plans for the next three months and shows forthcoming engagement events.
It refers to attending a number of listening events and speaking to over 1000 people with 51 surveys completed but there is no information on what the survey was about and what the outcomes were. It refers to having visited a number of hospitals and GP practices to talk to patients, carers and families, but again doesn’t provide further information.
However, the report does provide some statistical information about the type of information they received, in particular the services they are hearing about with GPs, Inpatient care and mental Health and the most frequent topics such as waiting times, getting an appointment and staff attitudes. It uses case studies to highlight its Information and signposting alongside the statistical information.
Evidence is shown of improvement following HWS intervention, raising awareness by giving examples of changing physical access to GP surgeries, ear waxing and out of hours prescribing.
There is also a separate section on ‘summary of outcomes’ which lists more specific outcomes under separate headings.
A really interesting read.
