Summary of report content

Healthwatch Hampshire produced a report based around a survey of Accessing GP practices in Hampshire (December 2016).

The volunteer researcher rang a number of GP surgeries in the county of Hampshire and asked them the same questions around:

Opening and Closing time,

Late night opening,

Weekend opening,

Website accessibility,

Registration process,

Booking appointments,

Waiting times.

The responses to the questions were then recorded and included in the report.

144 surgeries were surveyed in total broken into 5 CCG areas:

North Hants - 20 surgeries surveyed

Fareham and Gosport - 18 surgeries surveyed

North East Hants - 27 surgeries surveyed

South East Hants - 25 surgeries surveyed

West Hants - 54 surgeries surveyed

No recommendations were made in the report and no response was provided by any of the providers.
