Healthwatch Sheffield collected people's experiences of health and social care services during the COVID-19 pandemic between December 2020 and January 2021.
The report found that people had positive experiences of getting the COVID-19 vaccines with people sharing that vaccination centres were efficient and organised. People reported not being able to get through to GPs on the phone. People who are Deaf or hard of hearing experienced difficulties communicating during appointments with face coverings as well as phone appointments, as there were no alternatives available to them. Access to dentistry varied across the city with some people beign offered private treatment and others waiting a long time for NHS care.
