Healthwatch Sunderland report on their key achievements in 2024/25. During this period, they:

  • Supported over 3,100 people to share experiences and access health and care information, with 26 volunteers contributing more than 600 hours.
  • Led impactful research and improvements in adult social care, dental services, and mental health support for homeless individuals.
  • Collaborated regionally on the “Big Conversation: Women’s Health,” engaging nearly 4,500 people to shape service improvements.
  • Worked closely with Sunderland Royal Hospital to enhance the Emergency Department experience for dementia patients, introducing quiet spaces and staff training.
