Summary of report content

Healthwatch Milton Keynes carried out an announced enter and view visit to The Stratfords care home. A checklist of conversation topics was based on the pre-agreed themes for the visit. Authorised representatives also observed routine activities and the provision of lunch and made notes.

Five residents agreed to discuss their experiences with Healthwatch Milton Keynes.

A number of observations were made, including:

  • The home has a welcoming and homely feel
  • Activities are varied and tailored to individuals likes
  • Food was praised highly by residents
  • Staff were reassuring, patient and caring
