As part of a national project, Healthwatch Norfolk participated in a service wide campaign on the Accessible Information Standard (AIS) and conducted research with people who spoke little or no English. They also spoke with healthcare staff. The aim was to help the NHS policy makers understand the steps needed to ensure people get clear and accessible information that helps them make decisions and get the most out of services.
The report outlines the findings from their engagement activities and contains recommendations for providers to ensure they meet the requirements of the standard.
