Healthwatch Telford and Wrekin decided to undertake a survey of people's experience of A&E following a Channel 4 Dispatches programme, a CQC inspection and following receipt of feedback from the public. They heard from 252 people.
Two thirds of people rated their overall experience of care while in the A&E Department as poor or very poor.
Nearly two in five people reported waiting for up to four hours and 61% waited over four hours to see a doctor.
Two thirds had negative comments about their care and treatment at A&E.
