Summary of report content

Following an Enter and View in July 2024 Healthwatch Bracknell Forest revisited Heathlands in May 2025 to check how the home was addressing the recommendations in the first visit.

They spoke to the manager and were shown evidence of actions take to address the recommendations.

Amongst the recommendations addressed were:

Changes had been made to drinks with only decaffeinated tea and coffee to residents which had reduced the risk of falls. 'Pimp my walking frame' enabled residents to identify which frame was theirs more easily.

The residents were now able to grow their own vegetables to be more involved.

An additional activities coordinator had been introduced and a 'friends of Heathlands' group established.
