Summary of report content

Healthwatch Bracknell Forest undertook an Enter and View Visit to Haldane House Care Home on 12th and 25th March 2025. They looked at Independence and Choice with a focus on food and activities.

They received feedback from four relatives and two members of staff. None of the residents were capable of talking to Healthwatch due to their dementia.

The home had recently been sold and was going through a transitionary period, which affected the number of responses received.

The relatives were happy with the home and the staff felt supported by the manager but not the previous owners

Recommendations were made around making rooms more personal and creating a specific activities coordinator role. A revisit will take place six months after the first visit.
