Healthwatch Derbyshire undertook announced enter and view visits of sexual health services. They wanted to gather patient feedback about a service they don’t often hear about. The visit included two visits that took place at the Wheatbridge Health Village and the sexual health outreach van.  They spoke to 64 people.

Key findings

  • Patients shared positive experiences about the services
  • Staff were friendly, approachable and valued by those who used the services
  • Patients and volunteers found the website easy to use. The feedback shared about this offers suggestions to improve the user experience
  • The loss of a room to podiatry affects the number of patients that can be seen
  • Some signage could be changed to improve access to the service.
