Summary of report content

Healthwatch Oxfordshire produced a summary report of what they have heard about GP service access between April 2021 and March 2022. Over 1500 people provided their feedback about their experiences accessing GP services during this period, via general feedback and research and engagement.

Key issues identified in the feedback are getting through on the phone, access to face-to-face appointments, using online tools, changes in the way GPs operate, and communication with patients about how to access the GP and what to expect.

The report summarises five reports completed throughout 2021-2022 and makes a number of recommendations.
