Summary of report content

Healthwatch Cambridgeshire and Healthwatch Peterborough was commissioned by the Cambridgeshire South Care Partnership to undertake research on the support people needed through life changes.  They spoke to 261 people.

Whilst some individuals faced significant practical and emotional challenges, others were able to adjust and move forward more easily as they had support.

The research found that life changes, particularly for caregivers, involve complex emotional journeys.  Many felt reluctant to ask for help.

Whilst there is plenty of help on offer, services are significantly stretched.  Others haven't been promoted effectively.
