Summary of report content

Healthwatch Kent together with a volunteer who has learning difficulties, went to the main reception and to Outpatients at the local hospital to see what support was available to help them attend their appointment.

They found some great examples of how the hospital had done things well, but also identified several areas where services could be improved.

Based on the feedback from Healthwatch, East Kent Hospitals are making a number of improvements to make it easier for people with learning difficulties to attend hospital appointments.
