Healthwatch Bucks was asked by the Buckinghamshire Council to collect feedback from people who use their Reablement Service. They asked people how they were referred to the service, the information they were provided, if it met their needs, and what they thought of the service.
Most people they spoke to had positive feedback about the service provided by the reablement workers (usually called carers). Some mentioned the prompt way the support had been put in place. Others were pleased that the service had been flexible and continued until other carers had been arranged.
Some areas where improvements could be made were communication with people before they left hospital, when they were at home, and when their support finished. Healthwatch have made recommendations based on the findings.
