Healthwatch Halton undertook research to gather feedback from people about their experiences at Halton Hospital and Warrington Hospital. Data were collected via questionnaires administered during outreach sessions conducted between June and August 2024. A total of 67 people provided feedback.
Overall, people's experiences and care at Warrington Hospital were positive, with 94% rating their treatment and care as ‘Good’ or ‘Excellent’. People provided positive feedback on: appointments and waiting times; facilities and surroundings; parking; and staff, treatment, and care. Areas for improvement identified included: appointments and waiting times, communication, end-of-life care, facilities and surroundings, parking and signage, treatment and care. Respondents said that staff have enough time to spend with patients, they had been given enough information about their treatment, that the hospital was accessible, and they had been treated with dignity and respect.
