Healthwatch Greenwich received 290 bits of feedback in June 2021. These came from calls, emails, website and face-to-face feedback from Greenwich residents. Feedback also came from community representatives or leaders and service user groups. Also used where conversations on social media from local community and neighbourhood groups and online service reviews.
Feedback found that vaccine uptake has been high, but hesitancy still exists, with some still wanting further safety evidence before deciding. Some people also reported difficulty booking vaccination appointments.
On GP services, service users are increasingly asking why primary care services are still so difficult to access. Service users continue to report long waiting lines on the telephone and calls not being picked up, and practices running out of appointment slots shortly after opening telephone lines. Inability to access GP services is causing anxiety for some. Frustration and concern is also growing in some service users at not being offered face-to-face appointments.
There was positive feedback from relatives of residents living in care homes and service users at QEH Hospital.
