Healthwatch East Riding of Yorkshire undertook a project with the Love Driffield Foodbank and the Cherry Tree Community Centre to understand the needs of people on low incomes. They spoke to 64 people.

They heard the following key themes:

  • Digital exclusion because of poor connectivity and affordability
  • Access to face to face GP appointments and a lack of continuity of care
  • Challenges living in a largely rural area
  • The impact of cost of living increases on health and wellbeing
