Summary of report content

Healthwatch Dudley, Dudley Clinical Commissioning Group and Dudley Integrated Health and Care NHS hosted an online forum on 27 May 2020. 46 people from local communities, health and care settings and voluntary organisations came together to share views and ideas on how they had been accessing services and what the future of health and care in the Dudley borough might look like.

The forum explored what people felt about the information they received and their experience of access to health and social care during the pandemic to identify what worked and what needed to be changed.  Topics explored included remote access to services, including how some people were unable to access online services, the need to standardise services, how to ensure services such as dentistry can continue to be provided, how pharmacy services could help with delivery of health and care services, the need to build on community strengths and people’s willingness to volunteer and help take care of each other and ensuring health and care messages are timely and clear.
